Surgical Solutions

Non

Experience you can trust.

There are a host of injectables and fillers in use today that, unlike surgery, are fast, simple, minimally invasive and have minimal downtime and recovery. Despite their relative ease of use, a qualified, experienced physician should be your only choice if you’re considering using them. Dr. Jones trained to use BOTOX® in his residency program in the late 1990s. When making a decision about non-surgical solutions, place your trust in an experienced facial plastic surgeon.

  • BOTOX®

BOTOX® is short for onabotulinum toxin A, a neurotoxin that relaxes muscles. In large quantities this drug could be lethal, however in the small amounts used for facial cosmetic purposes, BOTOX® has been widely tested and is extremely safe.

    What may be helped?

    • Horizontal forehead lines

    • Vertical brow creases

    • Crows feet

    • Prominent vertical bands in the neck

    • Imperfections in the skin

    • Neckline and jowls

    • Some deep lines and creases

    What may not be helped?

Treatment with BOTOX® consists of a few tiny injections taking only a few minutes. The BOTOX® relaxes the muscles that create facial wrinkles (dynamic wrinkles). It is typically used for frown lines between the eyes, horizontal forehead creases, and wrinkles in the crow’s feet area. The effect begins within 3-5days and lasts up to 4 months. Most people return directly to work or normal activity following treatment. Side effects are rare but might include minor bruising or unintended weakness of muscles causing transient eyelid or eyebrow droop.

Thousands of women and men have already discovered the benefits of BOTOX.® Not just models and movie stars, but ordinary people — teachers, mothers, and business people from all walks of life. With BOTOX,® they’ll know you’ve done something, they just won’t know what.

  • Restylane®

Restylane® is a cosmetic filler that, after years of safe and successful use in Canada and Europe, has gained FDA approval for use in the United States. Restylane® is intended for wrinkle correction and lip enhancements in areas where the skin has lost hyaluronic acid due to aging. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance in your skin. Its job is to help provide fullness and elasticity. Over time the skin loses hyaluronic acid which results in reduced skin volume and more wrinkles.

Restylane® is ideal for correcting thin superficial lines, for example, around the mouth, forehead and smile lines. While there are many injectable fillers on the market today, many of them have drawbacks ranging from allergic reactions to short life spans. Since Restylane® is a crystal-clear, non-animal, biodegradable gel based on natural substances, there is no need for a skin test to test for allergic reactions as there is with collagen.

The gel is carefully injected in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to your skin. Restylane® lasts 6-12 months as compared with collagen that lasts about 3-4 months.

  • Juvéderm®

Juvéderm® is a gel made of hyaluronic acid — a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and elasticity.

Juvéderm® gel is injected under the skin to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines”  (nasolabial folds — the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). The injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results are immediate. Plus, there’s minimal recovery or downtime. So you can step into the office for treatment and step right back into your life. And now with the newest formulation of Juvéderm®XC, the effects of lidocaine take place in seconds, potentially reducing the need for further anesthetic.

  • Radiesse®

Healthy young skin contains collagen that gives it volume, flexibility and strength. As part of the aging process, your own natural collagen breaks down, diminishing facial volume. This loss of elasticity and volume results in the wrinkles, facial lines and skin laxity that rob your skin of its youthful appearance.

The ideal way to achieve wrinkle reduction is by replenishing lost volume. With Radiesse® wrinkle filler, you welcome back your own natural collagen to smooth out the signs of aging. That's because Radiesse® wrinkle filler's unique formulation stimulates collagenesis — the production of new collagen — which results in increased volume for natural looking wrinkle correction that may last a year or more in many patients.

  • Latisse®

Latisse® is the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.

Latisse® is believed to prolong the anagen phase or active growth phase of the lashes. The onset of Latisse® solution is gradual. In the clinical trial, the majority of users saw significant improvement in two months.

  • Dysport®

Dysport,® like BOTOX® is a purified protein that relaxes muscles. In large quantities this drug could be lethal, however in the small amounts used for facial cosmetic purposes, Dysport® has been widely tested and is extremely safe. The relaxation produced by Dysport® is temporary (up to 4 months), as the treated muscle will gradually “wake up” over time. Our experience with Dysport® has shown the product to be very similar in action, onset, and duration to Botox.®
